Sheraton Midwest City Hotel
PROFILE: For over 20 years Janet has been in the hospitality industry. For many of those it was a family thing – she remembers working with her grandmother at the Gault Ocean Mile in Ft. Lauderdale as a banquet helper or working off the same beach with her mother at the Ocean Manor Hotel as a kitchen assistant. Her mother was a Chef and her grandmother was an amazing server. She was so good she was even written about in the Miami newspaper. She still has a copy.
“With me it is all about the details - dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s. I love people and I really want my guests to know just how important each one is to me. From the CEO’s to the families- all of them are equally as important and I want their stay to be easy, uncomplicated, and relaxed. I want to provide a feeling that I call “warm apple pie ala mode”. I know I can make that difference. After all a happy guest is a returning guest and in the end, that is the goal in this industry- guest satisfaction and loyalty.”
RECOMMENDATIONS: “I love to talk about our state and I do refer people to some of the more popular places: For a more relaxed cowboy dinner or lunch a great steak can be found at Cattleman’s Steakhouse. Yum! For an equally great steak, but a more upscale ambiance its Mickey Mantle’s without a doubt! I truly enjoy telling people about our attractions: the crystal bridge at the botanical gardens, the Paseo District, and of course the Oklahoma City Memorial. The illuminated chairs in the reflecting pool at dusk are the most beautiful and emotional sight you will experience and one everyone must see. I like to keep up with festivals, sporting events, etc… as most guests have only a short time and need my help. I see myself as an ambassador to the area.”
“In Midwest City I recommend the new SE 29th Shopping District which is full of stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and much more. Our guests seem to love the fact that it is so close and convenient. Since the hotel is also only 6 minutes from downtown OKC, our guests have the best of both worlds. The new Sheraton Midwest City Hotel is a wonderful property that prides itself on exceptional service and putting the guests first. Come see me- I would love to make your stay a memorable experience!”
