KEY Oklahoma City

James Robert Hicks
Sheraton Hotel
Downtown OKC

PROFILE: James Robert understands the importance of looking your best. After all, he was raised by one of the premier clothiers in Downtown Oklahoma City. James Robert began working with his mother, Teena Hicks, shortly after graduating from Norman High School in 1994.

Eleven years later, James Robert still looks forward to helping clients look their best. Teena Hicks Company specializes in custom-fit suits, neckwear, footwear, and sportswear for men.

While a majority of their clients are local, Teena Hicks' downtown location has become a a regular stop for many business travelers for the past 16 years. "We still ship suits to clients all across the U.S.," said James Robert. "We even had a client in London ask us to ship him collar stays."

WHAT TO DO IN OKC: If you get a chance, James Robert definitely recommends catching a Hornets basketball game. "Watching the Hornets at the Ford Center is fantastic, from start to finish," James Robert indicated. "You get to see N.B.A. All-Stars that you used to only see on television."

FAVORITE RESTAURANT: "I really enjoy eating at the Deep Fork Grill,” James Robert says. “The food is so unique. Looking at the menu, you can tell that the chef spent a lot of time coming up with the entrees.”

James Robert also suggests the veal at Nonna's Ristaurante in Bricktown. “Nonna’s interior just has a big city feel to it..”

This Spring, James Robert encourages tourists to visit Hefner Lake in Northwest Oklahoma City.. “You can sit and watch the sun go down while eating at Red Rock Canyon Restaurant.”
